I just wanted to share with you we finally got our interview date, we received the email last night and it was set for Oct. 22nd. I'm still confused on how is it that NVC only schedules the 2nd week of the month... beats me, but I'm glad we finally have it!

Good luck to you all!

For some consulates, NVC schedules interviews during the last week of the month as well. However, those dates are NOT for the next month but rather for the month after. For example, our interview date was set end-March, not for April, but for May. Same as yours, end August for October.

Thanks Emily. I hope it is true and not just talk. I will find out later on today...eeeep!

I asked the co-sponsor, "Is there a possible chance that you will be able to be a sponsor?" to which he replied, "I wouldn't be faxing you this if I wasn't going to do it." Oh jeezz.....ok, sorry for trying to make sure and not assume :P It was a veryyyyyyyyyyyy weird conversation last night, but like I said, I really hope it is true.

Nica - congrats!

Thank you all for your congratulations. We just followed the standard procedures and didn't expedite our case so I think NVC's summer vacation is over and get back to work now.

Tony - sure, will update you once we've got our interview date!

Teya - hope you will get all stuff in hand very soon.

Wish September to be a lucky month to all of us.

wow so much good news in here! Happy for you all!

Just sitting here waiting for the damn checklist email to arrive. Grr.

But i am actually ok with the RFE. Still a good chance I will get a November interview date and i will be in India till the 17th of November anyways. Just hoping the interview is before that.

Jesal,

We got a stupid RFE also, which I became aware of after calling the AVR last week on the 25th, and still nothing in the mail yet. I talked to an operator who clued me in as to what the RFE was about and I was told that I could use the previously sent barcode for the form in question(the DS-230) and go ahead and send in the corrected information using that barcode...just wanted to give you a heads up, since you already know what the issue is with your case, you might want to give them a call and see if you can do the same...cut down on the wait time. :)

Good luck!
