Oh, okay. Good luck! I understand your frustrations.

We had huge problems with our joint sponsor as well. My cousin who is a USC said okay (my Dad asked him right after we got engaged) and went through the NVC process with us and then he got cold feet and refused to send his 2009 taxes for the interview (we were done with NVC before April 15 so 2009 taxes hadn't been sent in)-- thankfully, my FIL agreed to step in and he sent in his papers, last minute.

Sachinky- Yeah, our original co-sponsor said yeah then got wishy washy feet and so we are seeing if that will pan out as well as trying a different route. Such fun...

The Jesal- I thought so too but it seems like snail mail just like with USCIS. :blink: Any way to make you wait longer...

Yes, i sent in the PCC about two weeks after submitted the DS230 packet.

Was going to wait for the checklist before sending in but the operator told me to just send it in with the IV barcode sheet instead. Had i known the checklist would have came this soon then i would have waited an extra week to not confuse anyone at NVC.

Granted this is me assuming im getting the RFE for missing PCCs. COuld be something else.

Well I was sitting here with not much to do so I thought I would try to sign in to the pay online page. When I did so I got SIF and I was shocked. Thats got to be a mistake!!! But then you always have that little bit of hope. Then I went back and noticed I punched in the wrong Case Number. After I made the correction is came up as paid... Oh well maybe next time. I think I will start checking after Labor Day weekend.

Hi guys! I'm new to this thread, and I'm not familiar with the I-130. I filed my husband's petition last year, priority date Dec. 17, 2009. Yesterday I received the Approval Notice (yey!). I also checked the Visa Bulletin, and it says the cut-off date for September 2010 is Jan. 1, 2010, and that they are current. Can someone explain this to me?

I'm also in the process of doing my Naturalization, hoping that after I become a citizen, I could upgrade the petition. With the approval and cut-off dates, do you think upgrading the petition would still matter?

What should I expect after the approval? I don't really know the steps of the I-130. What happens after this? How long do you think it will take before my husband could get here?

9/03/10: NVC # generated, gave e-mail adds

9/08/10: Received IV/AOS fee bill

9/13/10: Mailed completed AOS, enetered into the system on 9/14

9/19/10: Mailed completed DS-230, entered into the system on 9/22

10/13/10: CASE COMPLETE!!!

04/06/11: Case upgraded from F2A to CR-1

05/03/11: Final review completed

05/17/11: Interview date scheduled!

MOST of us on this NVC thread are USC looking to get our spouses and children a VISA to come to the US. You have a lot going on with your situation. Most of which is totally different than what I know about by having gone through my VISA journey. I am not familiar at all with yours situation and would only be guessing. Being that you are not a USC yet and trying to get your husband over to the US to joint you, you might want to start another thread focusing on your situation. This would attract people who have experience with the path you are on. Good Luck.

I can see your challenge. If the situation was reversed I dont think I could find anyone to sponsor me. Its a lot to ask of anyone because of the risky situation the sponsor would be putting themselves into. Good luck with your search.

Tom- When Is saw that you got a SIF, I thought, "How is that even possible? He hasn't started the NVC process yet." Hahahaha. Yeah, I'm doing ok... :wacko: Well, maybe it will be right around the corner. Good thing you checked. Mine is memorized on there so I won't have that problem ever (or I would go berzerk). Thanks for your luck, I will surely need it!!!

kim- Once you get the I-130 approval notice, your case goes to the NVC after about a week. Since your priority date is current (which means you won't have to wait extra for them to process your case before they start working on it at the NVC) you can get your case number and go through the other steps like everyone else. If you do get citizenship before your case is done at the NVC, I would def report it (not only because it might help with processing but because I think you have to legally since your status will no longer be LPR...I'm not sure though). Like Tom said, I would check somewhere else with people who have been in your situation just in case. Good luck!
