I864 doubt again.. if someone could share your opinion, pls.

We are including photocopies of 2009, 2008 and 2007 federal tax returns.

so in I864 for question number 25. Should we check the first box or the second one or both?!

Confused becuse first box says, 'for ONLY the most recent tax year.' and the second box says, 'for my second and third most recent tax years'

Both :)

Alles wird gut und wenn es noch nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht vorbei.

I checked both boxes. If you only checked one of them you would be leaving out either the most recent tax yr or the following 2 tax yrs. I checked both. the second box also said Optional so some may decide not to send in the following two yrs for what ever reason. I would not recommend this. Hope this helps or at least gives you comfort that your not alone...haha

hi folks, another dismall day on approvals.....

Just got off the phone with my wife. She has been approved (uscis), her son however is still in USCIS, no approval yet for him. She explained that she wants him to stay in Brazil at this time. I have not sent out the DS-230 yet for her. Obviously haven't sent his yet. How long can he stay in Brazil is it 6 months or longer? ( he is 6yrs old ). what advice do you have on this situation?

hummm, I dont know how old he is nor do I know the reason she wants him to stay in Brazil but I would say typically it would be best if he came with her. Just makes things easier in my view. My second wife was separated from her children once for a few yrs. Not saying your wife would do this but mine drove me nuts until we had them both with us. The kids were in Georgia at that time so we didn't have the State Department to deal with but we still had legal maneuvering.

I would not be to worried about him not being approved by USCIS yet. It may only be a week or two behind. I would start working on a letter to put in the NVC packages regarding this matter. The younger the son the more reason to have him travel with his Mom.JMHO Good Luck

Good morning!!

So I get to my job and I am getting ready to put everything in the envelope and realize that I am missing my co-sponsor I-864 so I cannot send it out today as I had planned. Can I still send the DS-230 and get that out by today? Does it matter which one gets to NVC first? Please advice on what to do :help:

As always thank you!

YOU WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!:o:lol: I dont think it will matter if you feel that you have to send something provided that you have the rest of what is needed for the pkg to be complete. I dont know that it will speed things up for you either . Personally I would wait and send them both together. We are only speaking about 1 day yeah?

It doesn't matter which one you send first. However, if it will only be a day until you get everythign together I say (like Tom said) wait and send them together in one envelope but make sure they are seperated in the envelope. It'll save you some postages lol. And both may end up in the system at the same time which is always a good thing.

Mrs. Thomas

NVC:

02-25-2010 : Received NVC case number, but NVC is closed, so I can't give an operator our emails. :-(

02-27-2010 : Jumped the gun and emailed the VJ version of the DS 3032. Who knows what will happen :-)

03-01-2010 : Gave the operator both emails...waiting on DS3032 kit

03-02-2010 : Received DS3032 Kit; Resent DS3032 (just in case), Received AOS bill.

03-03-2010 : Paid AOS and IV bills; both are IN PROCESS

03-03-2010 : VJ email version of the DS3032 accepted (It was the one that was sent on 02-27-2010)

03-11-2010 : Both AOS + IV showed paid but processed on 03-05-2010 :-)

03-12-2010 : Mailed AOS packet. Waiting on my procrastinating hubby to send me his IV docs :-(

03-15-2010 : AOS signed for by St. Laurent at 10:03 a.m.

07-19-2010 : Received IV documents from hubby (Finally)

07-20-2010 : Mailed IV packet

07-21-2010 : IV Packet signed for by Peters at 10:15 a.m. (St. Laurent and Desmond are probably on vacation lol)

07-26-2010 : NVC starts processing IV Packet

08-20-2010 : Called NVC and was told that we received a "stupid" RFE on 08-18-2010

NO your good. Transcripts don't require supporting documentation. I am guessing that is because they came from the IRS and if it wasn't there they would be asking you before NVC did..haha Actually I would have sent all transcripts but it was to close to when I did my taxes that I ask for them on the latest tax year.

The NVC number in blue ink and in the upper RH corner are fine. I did this on every page of my package.

Your package content depends on what you are wanting to show the NVC with regards to your financial status. As I was not employed I didnt have Pay Stubs or Letter from employer. I also didnt have anyone co-sponsor so I wanted to be sure I showed my ability to support. I included my finacial accounts, Vehicles, Property, and a letter which was intended to help them see my position was solid.

This is the list of what I sent which was on the cover letter.

To whom it may concern:

Enclosed please find the Form I-864, Affidavit of Support for my wife, Justina DePalma Davis and supporting documents as follows:

 I-864 Coversheet (with barcode)

 Form I-864 (Signed and dated)

 Letter For Consideration

- 1099 INT from PATELCO

- 1099 INT (2) from Regions

- 1099 INT from GESA Credit Union

 2008 Federal Tax Transcript

 2007 Federal Tax Transcript

 Copy of Grand Deed and 2009 Home Property Tax Bill XXXXXXXXXXXX, TN

 Copy of Grant Deed and 2009 Home Property Tax Bill XXXXXXXXXXXX, CA

 Copy of Warranty Deed and 2009 Property Tax Bill for Vacant Lot in Sebastian, FLA

 Copy of Bank Statements, Bank of America for May, June, July 2010, 3 pgs

 Asset Value Table

I have included a Letter for Consideration in support of my financial position for your information and consideration. Also included in this package are sensitive and private Banking and Brokerage Statements which show account numbers and other sensitive and private information. I initially was going to black these out but was advised by NVC that the Embassy may want to see and have this information available to them. Please use the utmost care to avoid any potential theft or misuse of my personal financial information.

Please process my petition at your earliest convenience. I am looking forward to your review and approval. If you require clarification or need additional information feel free to contact me or my wife. Thank you for time and assistance in this matter.
