What confirmation letter? You should have the pay portal show your invoice for I-864 by now. Keep checking the pay online page. Mine was there alot faster. I got my only a few days after the NVC number.

Last week I got a couple of automated response emails from the NVC and a confirmation email aceepting our optin choice of processing. How do I check the pay online page ? Don't I need something from the NVC first ?

pony1076- I'm not sure how it works for opt-in but for the regular process, NVC sends an e-mail with the invoice number in an attachment. If you received e-mails with attachments and any instructions for you to pay the AOS bill, I would look all through that and see if they sent it to you. For the non- opt-in, this number is found on the veryyyyyyyy last page  Good luck!!!

Looks like everyone is moving right along here! What great news!

This is what I did go to: www.immigrantvisas.state.gov

you will then be presented with a page and link to pay online

you need NVC#

Invoice ID number once you enter this info you shoud see if the bill is available to pay if not you will not be able to click and pay

BTW I got my Invoice ID number in my AOS email!

Good luck, I hope this helps your situation..

I will be sending the two packs tomorrow to NVC:

  • I-864 and DS-230 with supporting documents separated but in the same envelope. Will send to the address on the printed cover sheet.
  • Sending copies of each packet (everything sent to them needs a set of copies)
  • Sending it next day UPS
  • I left nothing blank on both forms

Also on DS230 application I put N/A for his employment because it has been off the books and it's irrevelant, I want to be consistent as well since on the I-130 I put N/A for occupation and employer.

I am only sending a copy of the W2 (with taxes) for my co-sponsor because that is what she sent me (it's ok I am sure)

Also the only one I am stuck with really is question #21!!

He is the person that I am sponsoring and he is also my husband so 21-c I left it blank because if I count him it would be counting him twice! Correct??

I am going over these two applications with a fine tooth comb!!

thank you for your help

Emily

You are looking for an AOS FEE BILL in an email attachment -

it will have the IIN inside of it.

recheck yer emails from NVC, see if any file attachments (usually in PDF) then open them, review and print them.

if you don't have any AOS FEE BILL via email from NVC -

call NVC back, ASK for the AOS FEE BILL to be emailed to you.

might be a good time to review:

Thanks Sachinky,

One more question, can I request NVC to schedule for an earlier interview date when I send the DS-230 packages or do I need to wait until they assign a interview and ask about pre-pone. My case will be forwarded to Chennai consulate, is it tough to get an earlier interview date there?
