OK - some other 'FUD' clearing -

The IV 'fee bill' won't be emailed to you, either.

Keep watching the online payment portal, as the DS-3032 gets put into the casefile, the DS-230/IV fee will be 'available' to be paid online.

Thanks I have been checking the online payment page several times a day. I am thinking it will happen soon as our DS3032 was sent in on Aug 4 so its time ... I hope... I have everything ready to go just need to pull the trigger . Oh my this experience has been like basic training... I dont think we say it often enough but thanks to you Darnell, also to VJ and all the members who post on this site and provide help, encouragement and an ear when we need to voice our frustrations.:blink::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Tom- The DCF would be easier for everyone to do and quicker. I know that for Peru you have to have resided there for 6 months and then show proof of residence (like a residency card or something to that effect). I hope your IV bill shows up soon.

On the other hand, I'm happy to say that after about 7 weeks of waiting, we FINALLY got our SIF today!!!

My husband just called the NVC and operator told him by the end of the month we will know if we made the September interviews, if not, it seems we might be bumped to October.

 Best news ever. One more hurdle to go before your husband can welcome you to your new home in the U.S.A. Congratulations!

Mrs. Thomas

NVC simply collects and reviews your AOS documents. Makes sure the figures/numbers are accurate and that nothing is missing. The I-864 is evaluated at the interview by the CO who views the 'totality of the circumstances' in making an adjudication.

I have said this before and I will say it again, no matter WHAT NVC says, take a copy of your I-864 package to the interview, with possibly a couple of paystubs more.

I was there for 5 months and did rent a house for obvious reasons. Hotel living gets old and the home was Cheap in comparison. If I would have know this I would have just stayed and delt with it there. At least I would have company...haha

Yeah, I was a few weeks shy of being there for 6 months when we went to see what the procedure was at the Embassy. They failed to mention how to meet the requirements. Turns out I would've made the 6 month requirement.....super lame!!!! If I would've known that while being there, I would either be here with my husband (a long time ago) or already have moved to Peru after finding out that there was no chance in Hades of him getting here. Such helpful workers on the other side of the Embassy!

That Embassy is a trip for sure. On the American Services side, everything is well lit and so calm and serene and happy seeming. On the Visa services side, it is dark and they have plain benches for you to sit on (with other side has padded benches) and very gloomy. That was before I even knew that will be the future waiting place for the "I can't believe it is finally here" day.

:( We rely on these people being upfront with us and assisting us. I would sure hate to be in some kind of legal trouble in a foreign country and count on the US Diplomats to assist me. They in my view are arrogant and self serving. I wish I could brag about them but then I would be significantly short of honest... I have seen them assist a GI in Manila. He reportedly rapped a girl over there and is being held on the Compound grounds under US control while they work out the legal details. He has been there for something like 5 yrs if you can believe that. The Filipino want him bad but who knows what the truth is because there is so much BS that goes on over there you would not believe it. Not saying he is innocent mind you...

I've got my AOS package in hand and will be mailing it Fedex after work today. Setup a Fedex account number and it gets you 16% off if you setup your shipment online.

That makes my package almost the same cost as sending it USPS - and in my eyes Fedex is more reliable of a service provider when delivering packages.
