Emily-Your DS3032 hasn't been accepted yet. Once it is, you will receive the IV bill ($404). Like Nica said, you pay the bill and wait until the bill shows as paid and then print off the PAID cover sheet. After your AOS bill shows as PAID, you can send in your I-864 package and all of those supporting documents that you are filing with it (the tax transcripts and whatever else financial wise that you are using to overcome the 125% poverty guidelines).

Goodness! Teya sorry I am confused I thought I get the bills because I am the choice of agent...should I re-send the DS-3032 email?? :bonk:

Sorry...

Congrats Nica!!! Hope you make Sept their is still lots of time left for them to get you in I would think. I am hoping for October. Right now I am waiting on them to invoice me.

Mamamimi Good for you but it doesn't show that your email of the 3032 worked. You need to get a confirmation email on that. That is what I am waiting on. Once we get that they will invoice us on the IV pkg. Like Nica said all the rest is good.

So my husband just told me he received the Choice of Agent form by email about the same time I received the AOS invoice... should he resend the email appointing me his choice of agent? Or should I wait and hope they will read the first email he sent.. It was sent on the third of Aug.

Thanks Tom I'm just a little confused lol!!

Emily

Emily- You can send them the e-mail if you want to. They should approve it soon but it won't hurt to send it again. :)

On the other hand, I'm happy to say that after about 7 weeks of waiting, we FINALLY got our SIF today!!!

My husband just called the NVC and operator told him by the end of the month we will know if we made the September interviews, if not, it seems we might be bumped to October.

Congrats Nica!!!   All the best for an early interview!!

msd- Where are you???? Your SIF should be coming along here any time now....

Silently reading along. ^^

And I think it will still take a while for a SIF because they only recieved the DS-230 on the 6th. I bet those b******* will take their sweet little time about it.

But we submitted a request for expedite yesterday. We'll see what happens.

What I find crazy is NVC told me on the phone when I ask them questions about my AOS that they dont approve anything. Okay I am fine with that. So this tells me they are just doing a cursory review, then forwarding the package to the Embassy who has the final review and approval. Well then why the heck does it take them so long to collect, verify its complete and to put our stuff back in the envelope and mailing it on. These packages are not that substantial and if they are not looking at the details they would have to be monkeys to be doing this so slowly... :bonk::bonk::bonk::rofl:

It would be surprising if they are not reviewing the I864 during the NVC stage. I thought people qualified to do that are available in US.. why would they put it off till consulate stage.

Also, the 'review fee' makes me wonder if its outsourced to a third party

I would have thought that also. So when I called them to ask a question about my AOS. I am not employed and had to put financial docs together to show my ability to pay. The person told me something on the phone about my possibly not being approved because I dont have a job and I challenge their statement. Well the rep on the phone then crawfished and made it clear that it was the Embassy and not the NVC who approves all of this. Darnell I think also put up something earlier on this thread about that.

msd- I really hope it doesn't take them that long!!!!!

I think since on the USCIS website it says that if the I-864 is reviewed at the consulate (something about, "if review domestically" blah blah), there is no fee...we should be able to choose to just not turn that in to NVC for them to take our money and not really review it anyway.

C'mon some more good news for everyone here!!!

Teya I tried to file initially in PI but the Embassy said I need to do it back in the states because I was not residing there. They only do this I think for USC living abroad. Which is kind of funny because I would think a citizen is a Citizen.. Matter of fact when I worked Overseas I didn't pay taxes on the first $80,000... I also didn't have to pay state or SS and all the rest... So I am not clear on what the thinking is here. But I dont mind paying if they would get off there a$$es

No my invoice is not available. I am waiting for it to post up. Once it is posted I will pay it and print out the Coversheet just like we did for the AOS. Sorry if I confused you.

OK - some other 'FUD' clearing -

The IV 'fee bill' won't be emailed to you, either.

Keep watching the online payment portal, as the DS-3032 gets put into the casefile, the DS-230/IV fee will be 'available' to be paid online.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
