foie is quite easy to cook actually. how do you like it?

the only thing that sucks is cleaning all the veins and stuff out of it if you buy a whole one. I've always thought that was a huge pain in the azz.

whatever you want to add the truffle flavor to you stir in the butter or oil at the end.

I am too scared to cook foie gras, so I have never attempted it. But the restaurant I go to serves it with a bosc pear and brioche.

I always used truffle butter like regular butter, just tossed it in a warm/hot pan at the beginning. I guess that is what I was doing wrong.

Oooooh, Chik-fil-a! I luvs it. What I love about them is that I can have an awesome meal for under 400 Calories: Chargrilled Chicken sandwich, fruit cup and a large unsweet tea - totally filling and delicious. But, I do also love their chikfila sandwich - mmmmmmmm deepfried deliciousness on a warm buttered bun. :P

Yes! It's true that at some fast food places these days you can pick healthy options. Something that's not extremely healthy but calories-wise is much better than a large beef burger is the BK veggie burger. That's what I have eaten the last couple times we went to BK. B/c my husband can eat it and it's not horrible tasting to me. At Panera they now have all the calories on the menu board. I liked the new Mediterranean Salmon salad, mmmmm.

I have never been to Panera but I have seen them around.. I will have to try it out one day...

We eat at Subway a lot.. I love the oven roasted chicken with the sweet onion sauce... yum!

We also get food from Panda Express sometimes.... mmm I love their mushroom chicken and their string-bean chicken and I love their chow mein...

I miss the greasy yummy grossness of Krystal's .... of course, to fully appreciate Krystal's, it needs to be 3 am after a night at the bar.

Sadly, I live in NH now, and there are no Krystal's. I also am usually asleep at 3 am now (unless awake with a toddler).

Arby's and Chick-fil-a too! MMMM :)

We only have McDonald's, Burger King, Subway and Quizno's in my town, which is nice for my diet because I am not tempted by them.

Nina - I went to eat with some friends tonight and I asked their thought on truffles. They all kinda agreed there isn't a "real" answer. There's dishes that are traditionally made with white or black truffles, but they can be used with either depending on how you're making it
