Your interpretation of fair makes me cringe. I know its never going to happen but I'm all for the flat tax.

I offter to help you move and you compare me to a gay hating Nazi. Drama has found there king.

That's quite a stretch. I was referring to your desire to be alone in the USA after you have driven out all foreigners and people who don't share your opinions. If you keep inviting people to leave, there will be just you in a tent in the woods with a load of illegal cannabis growers who have no customers.

by the way it's 'their' not 'there' and it's EMPEROR not king

Just wait, Simpson will begin a lobby in Washington with the sole purpose of turning opinion towards nationalizing BP assets to pay for their tragic blunder. That and their petrol is pure #######. They refine that nasty ####### out of the Orinoco that leaves all sorts of nasty deposits in your engine. I guess that's why Audi suggests you avoid their petrol. ;)

Dear Simpson,

For your information, the "String" portion of the "G-String" goes in the back. This might account for some of the irritation and foul mood you appear to be in.

Sincerely,

Rob

P.S. we're all having a laugh here, don't take things quite so literally.

I'm not in a foul mood. Good try though. I just would like to see your good buddy Alan address his arrogant statement.

This isnt about getting back at him, this is about addressing his ignorant statements.

Arrogant, rude, opinionated, infuriating and controversial ? perhaps

Ignorant ? Never

I leave that to the denizens of this suffering land where ignorance is it's word wide brand along with micky mouse, the McDonald's clown and the phosphorus bomb

Not that it doesn't have it's saving graces so it isn't all bad news...

For instance - I am here :luv:

The world ? It's over there somewhere... go look

I have only offered to help people move back to there homeland who clearly think very little of this country. You and Booyah are perfect examples.

You have tried to make a baseless argument that I want everyone I dont agree with to leave. Simply not true. Can you quote me anything that would give your argument credit?

You dont see the importance of not overtaxing your wealthy counterparts? Times are changing and the wealthy will move if you guys keep sticking it to them.

You're framing a false argument. I asked you when was the last time that the state tax was increased on the wealthy in CA. It's a fair question because you seem all too worried that raising taxes on the wealthy is going to drive them away from CA, without providing any substance to it. For one, many wealthy people live in California for the weather and real estate. They don't eat at McDonald's because spending $120 for lunch is out of their price range. It would be absurd to move out of California because someone making 5 million a year has to pay an extra $5,000 a year in taxes, in the context of how and what they spend their money on. And the quality of life for them in California is one of those expenses.

You have asked 3 people to leave in the last 2 pages of this thread and named all three. I can't be bothered to quote em but they are there for everyone to see

You are right in thinking that I don't think much of the political/societal scene in the US. However, and here is the bad news, rather than quit and be driven out be reactionaries, I am going to stay, become a citizen and help turn it into a European style Utopia. All aided by millions of los Mexicanos and the Irish illegals in Boston once the reforms go through.

By the democratic means of course

Is that ok ? I can sell you some guns if all this makes you want to buy a bunker.

Take some photos of how the US used to be before it disappears. Start in the ghettos of Chicago

Political leaders are zeroing in on the upper echelons of the state's taxpayers because that's where much of the economic growth has taken place in recent years, say analysts. The strategy isn't without risks: Just as globalization has enriched the elite, it has also increased their ability to relocate if the tax climate gets too uncomfortable.

"Structural inequality has been rising at a level we haven't seen since before the Great Depression," says David Gamage, a tax and public-finance expert at the University of California at Berkeley. "And the natural response, both psychologically and economically, is to make the tax system more progressive,"

The US tax regime is the toughest I have come across.

Nevertheless there are tactics that can shelter rich people's wealth if need be

Its all about cost/benefit analysis

If the gov wants top take a 1 mill bite out of me and 100k in tax attorneys fees can get me out of that ?

I end up 100k worse off and the state gets nowhere.

A lose-lose situation and the tax attorney buys a BMW in another State

However, if they get it in subtle ways that I don't notice - then it works

softly softly catchee monkey

You genuinely do seem to be in a mood. Either that, or you took extreme offense over something that I would wager Alan said on a lark. It's a joke, roll with the punches, and play the game, it's fun, and makes work go much faster during the lull in the day.

Simply not true. I told you and Booyah I would help you pack. I would be more than happy to help somebody move that thinks very little of this country and doesnt have its best intentions in mind. I've never demanded that certain people leave. I just express my happiness in seeing them go by helping them pack.

You are right in thinking that I don't think much of the political/societal scene in the US. My main point is that your criticism is not constructive and your only fooling yourself if you believe it is.

Is that ok ? I can sell you some guns if all this makes you want to buy a bunker.

I've never owned a gun. When you are going to quit it with the stupid stereotypes and see America for what it really is?

Take some photos of how the US used to be before it disappears. Start in the ghettos of Chicago

Check out pics of central Oregon. America is much more than what you know and if you would just do a little more observing and less b!tch!ng you might be able to see that.

oh stop it you are giving the game away !

I am founder and El Presidente Supremo and CEO and 'Big Dadda for life' of 'Larks are us' and I flick ice cubes down the front of the T shirts of little america reactionaries and NASCAR fans

Only Americans wear T shirts under their shirts (or wear check pants) so they are an easy target to identify

Anyone who thinks American society is something close to heaven and superior to any other society is on a serious brainwashed nationalist frenzy trip

It is what it is and it's a long way from perfect just like every other country

Once you have come to terms with this concept grasshopper, you will feel much more serene

and less insulted by ALIENS who mention even the tiniest little thing in a way that could be seen as being close to not endorsing EVERYTHING as being the ultimate in the galaxy or the pinnacle of human achievement

I could take you places in the USA that would have you weeping in shame so come of it and get real.

Of course those places are caused by the 'other' people who should be told to leave also.

No, I don't.

He does have a point though, there are many things wrong with our society, just as there many things wrong with UK society as well. To think any country is all bad is absurd, and he's just playing to your overnationalist side.
