Hi everybody!

I am a little bit worried since the Embassy in Paris does not seem to pay attention to expedite processing that has already been granted.... Anybody could tell me what is the "average" time there is between the reception of Notice of readiness by the US embassy in Paris and the appointment?

Thank you in advance.

I am sure Paris is like most other consulates where the applicant schedules the appointment using a call center. Have you checked the consulate website?

YMMV

Hi Again!

Thank you to all of you but the links are providing time for non immigrant visas and K1 visa is being processed differently, following what is said on the US department of state, "Nonimmigrant Visa wait time DOES NOT include K or V visa applications, which are processed similar to immigrant visas.".....

The K1 processing time is giving the time that is necessary for the whole process at the embassy to occur....

But NOT the time necessary once the Notice of readiness has been received by the Embassy to get the appointment date.

Yes Bruno,

Thanks for your reply. I received my appointment letter and I am going to meet you at the Embassy since my appointment is on the 18th too! In fact my case has been expedited by USCIS and NVC (Filing on 03/03/10. NVC approval on the 06/11/10) and the Embassy did not take the expedite request into account so they have received the file from NVC on the 18 and took the usual two months processing time....

So Bruno: Ready for the wedding?

So Bruno: Ready for the wedding?

if you mean logistically, there are still a lot to be done. we didn't set a date yet. We plan to do just the courthouse first and the ceremony after a few months when all the papers are done.

if you mean emotionally, i'm completely ready.

Good luck on your journey

Bruno
