please transpose yer 'signature timeline' over to http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=69786

IMO, yer 'lag' has come about from the USC biometrics request. It's a PITA, to be sure, but...

NOW that it's finally been transferred to VSC, it has to 'get in' to the queue.

Since it got in on 7/1/2010 - you have new 'timeline', finally, to reflect the 'normal' VSC queue.

IMO, there's nothing you can do to 'speed it along' but -

YOU CAN INITIATE a 'service request' to find out the physical location of yer file. Some ppl do this 'face to face' via an infopass appointment, some do this via telephone, some get this done via contacting the Immigration Liason Staffer with the US REP/Senator's office. (ya ya, I know, you've had prior service requests, but this is a new thing, ya?)

As far as the Ombudsman goes, I dunno, for certain, as you absolutely had to get 'other stuff done' for that BIOMETRICS appointment, and NOW , IMO, yer finally back in a 'regular queue' for I-130 processing. (Which is a good thing, you betcha ! )

If you'd like to stir up some 'stuff', though - I highly recommend you look up member 'gogo' here, find his prior posts, GET HIS USCIS address book, and then STUDY IT, picking out which USCIS offices you'd like to contact. Don't contact 'gogo' directly - he's busy with his wife in USA - but do STUDY his prior posts, STUDY this USCIS address book, then map out a plan of attack. I suggest you prep for requesting an expedite at USCIS/VSC, as you might 'fall into' the guidelines of 'in the USCIS interest ' or 'USCIS error' - see http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=16a6b1be1ce85210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

or you could choose to wait for the 'normal' queue at VSC, cause FINALLY, yer in it.

Good Luck, whatever you decide to do.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I agree with the previous comment.. Contact your Senator... there is only two per state... More power. If there is something wrong

they can cut through the red-tape quick... I called my Senators office from the local INS office... I had no infopass appt. We

needed an updated stamp in her passport for travel "Death in the Family". The Senator's office called the INS office through a

private number,,, someone came and got us,,, updated her passport with travel approval... Took maybe an hour.

So,,, you just never know, Sometimes government works.

Good luck,

Ya, the more I think about his situation, the more I read about his prior stuff, the more I study his profile and personal timeline in the 'about me' section -

I am thinking there was 'USCIS error' in getting the biometrics back in a timely fashion -

and

that fact should be pushed, in the form of a USCIS Expedite Request.

'transferring a case' has nothing to do with 'namechecks'.

I still call BS on this one, as is USCIS error, still, IMO.

OK - that was 'first blush' - you should talk with the Immigration Liason Staffer now, at yer US Rep or US Senators offices.

here's the error, as I see it -

USC Biometrics completed on 10-26-2009 . Casefile held at local office until 05-07-2010. Local office made the ERROR of holding it for 6.5 months.
