Packet 3 issued but not received!!!!!

Well, all the excitement I had earlier this month with our case moving rapidly is now replaced with frustration. According to the US embassy in New Delhi (I called and e-mailed them) packet 3 was issued on July 14th. She hasn't received it yet. I am hoping its the slow postal service to blame.

I am planning to call the embassy tonight but I figure I should ask the folks here on VJ. I have goten better answer from people here then from the embassy people directly. Go figure

So, what should we do if she doesn;t receive P3 at all?

Can we just fill out all the required forms and e-mail to the embassy, effectively pretending that we got the packet 3?

Is the embassy going to issue another one?

7/07/10 - Called NVC and given the new case number YES YES YES YES YES!!!!

7/08/10 - Case Left NVC, send to consulate

7/12/10 - Consulate Received

7/13/10 - Packet 3 Sent to fiance

Hey,New life, we are in the same time line.. I will also be getting P-3 from New Delhi embassy soon.Yesterday I called them on 91-1124198062(between 2pm to 4 pm) and the guy told me that they sent P3 to me on July 27th and suggested me to email them on ivnd@state.gov if i do not get it until friday (30th).

Well, I could not wait for Indian post to deliver P3 after two weeks so I email them already asking about P3. Hopefully I will be getting it via email today.

what I suggest you to do is email them and ask for P3. They will send attached adobe files of DS230 and Applicant statement to you

Did you get PCC and all the required stuff?

I already emailed them over a week ago and got the forms. But it still bothers me that we haven't received p3 for almost two weeks. Also, we might need it for the medical.

What is PCC?

I do not think you need to worry about receiving packet 3 by post if you have sent DS230 and Applicant's statement by email.

And you would not need P3 for medical examinations.

what I suggest you to do is start collecting all necessary paper works require for interview.

PCC is the police clearance certificate which you need to obtain from your district police station and passport office.

Well my fiance just got her passport a month ago so she doesn't the police certificate.

I guess if we don't need Packet 3, I can just have my fiance e-mail the forms to the embassy.

well my understanding was that she can email the forms to embassy (atleast that's what I was told when I called the embassy). So if that's true, then how does she sign the forms....

I guess I'll ask this specific question in a seperate post. I seem to be getting all sort of different information on how to get the forms to the embassy. Mail, Fax, email, Personally delivered etc...

Also, the reason I want her to have the hard copy of the packet 3 is because the online version kind of have the feel that its not complete. Maybe the printed version they send will be a bit more concise.

The forms which your fiancee received from Embassy are 1 DS-230,and 2 Applicant's statement

1.Save DS230 on your desktop and type the required information only in part-1(It will not allow you to save these information so just take print out of it after complete typing) then sign the hard copy,scan these two pages only in PDF format and send it back to the embassy,

2.Applicant statement you can not type so simply take the print out fill the required information,sign,scan and send it to the embassy with above DS230.

This is all you need do.

I would suggest you to send it as early as possible because based on that your interview date will be decided.

I don't like this forum. K-1 form is better.

I am still confused about this whole thing. I understand about the ds230 part 1 and applicant't statement. But reading other posts it seems like some people are saying to send form ds-156 and ds-156k along. Do i need to?

Also, the applicant's statement states photo instructions as an enclosure.

Does that mean she needs to send a photograph?
