Getting RFE in I-130 process is Good or Bad?

This seems to be weird! Getting RFE in I-130 process is Good or Bad?

To clear the RFE would take couple of weeks to months - which is bad.

But when the RFE is cleared, since the officer reviews your file again, is the chance high to get the approval? If yes, it is good.

All those experienced this would have upper hand to share their experiences.

If you have an RFE right near the beginning of the process, it's usually for a missing signature or a critical missing piece of paper. Did you get a letter in the mail yet identifying the problem.

You can get an RFE anywhere in the process. It just means you have to get them something extra, as you know. It's not a sign of good or bad... it's just a delay.

Thanks Lisa and Ian! I didn't get any RFE "so far".

As per VJ guide (I-130 section), I saw that the copies of the beneficiary's passport and birth certificate are NO longer needed with I-130. I did as per VJ. But my wife has used another name at the time of birth and I have mentioned it in I-130 under "other names used". Will the USCIS ask for her passport/birth certificate copy to prove it?

She had a previous GC and surrendered it. During that time, we had sent those copies and we didn't have any RFE and it got approved.
