I was reading the Moscow Times article about the record heat in Moscow. There were pictures of people visiting a local beach. Look at this http://www.themoscowtimes.com/photogallery/html/3296/410965/ I thought the girls from Russia were supposed to be beautiful and slender! I am in shock. Can't believe they even had this in the "paper".

Better not post this in OT. Everyone will say, "see, I told you Russian girls will get fat."

I think I just saw more fat people in that thread of pictures than I saw on my whole trip to Moscow. I especially love how everyone is swimming in the river right in front of the sign that says, "no swimming." Typical Russians. No wonder my wife is always telling me "don't worry, it's not a problem."

I went to the Black Sea years ago and got lots of looks at me. Not because of my robust figure, but because my swimsuit was not a Speedo. That's one thing about Europe, they let it all hang out.

As to the heat wave, I saw a headline that 260 people had died from heat in Belgium. Living in an area that regularly gets temps over 105 that just seems wrong to me. Maybe there is something to this global warming after all.

Flights leave every day. You will probably have to pay for a ticket though. Trying to rely on a plane getting you there for free as a side benefit of hijacking is not what it used to be since we armed the pilots to shoot terrorists.
