The only animal I've ever killed is a chicken. I watched a bunch of guys cut up a goat once, halal style. Kinda scary and cool. I don't know if I want to kill a donkey, not unless it's unconscious first.

In culinary school we went and watched everything being killed. We ate prime rib while we watched this guy slaughter a steer about 100ft away. It was gross/educational/weird/neat all at once! One of the girls quit culinary school completely after that.

Very colourful but of very doubtul authenticity - an animal with one or two limbs removed is not going to 'linger' very long.

again, your egocentricity requires you to invalidate anything beyond your own experience. sure a donkey that is amputated and properly tourniqueted can last a week. chinese aren't savages, you know. by comparison, people in arab countries have hands chopped off all the time and survive the experience.
