Hell is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bye-bye DoS and "AP pending" The embassy called Mr. Lostinlove first thing this AM and told him his AP is over and he can bring in his passport any working day to have it stamped and he would be able to travel right away.

He called me over an hour ago--as soon as he got off the phone w/them. I am in disbelive right now but soooo happy!!! I am so happy, I don't know what to do with myself!!!

Thank you all my fellow APers for your support and encouraging words. I prayed right away for everyone else in AP to have this hell over with soon.

08/28/2010: Entry to USA at JFK.

09/17/2010: We're married!!! :)

12/16/2010: Biometrics Appointment

I have copied your post from the AP tracker from yesterday what a difference ond day can make

I had refused to call DoS yesterday and it was so liberating. I don't know why. But, I broke down and called today. And, she said, "ok, ma'am it's still pending." I asked if there was any movement and she said, "yes, there is movement there is a note from the embassy today but I can't see it and it shows as pending." AI YE YE!!!

What could it be? I haven't contacted them since last week, no congress or senator. I hope its good news soon.

Point is it is good to call DOS incase something slips through the cracks but usually the beneficiary will know before DOS does. Again your good news gives us all hope .....the train is moving lets all get onboard. A good ending for July hopefully August will bring some good news.

Whatznext your so right. I was actually thinking about you when she told me she saw a note but its pending. The first time I didn't get excited and thought someone is making something up. I understood that feeling of "numb." I pray that your interview goes well on the 18th--you have been on our thoughts and prayers.

Today I've been grinning from ear to ear---my cheeks hurt. :) He plans to go to the Embassy on Monday to get his passport stamped and hopefully he will be able to travel in a few weeks. : )

wow!! I dont know how I missed this!! What wonderful news, I am glad that atleast someone I know has gotten out of the grips of AP hell :devil: I am so happy... that I am on the phone right now with DOS so that I can kill my high..<JK> :rofl: Hopefully he will be able to travel soonish

I was sending luck your way and will cont. to do so. I have def. prayed for everyone who is still AP pending. He is going on Monday to get the visa. Our travel agent still hasn't back to us regarding tickets. :( But, hopefully he will travel the 3rd week of August. : )

Your so sweet! I am sure you will get news soon. You have to...there is no other way about it!! : ) How is hindi coming along?

Our travel agent still hasn't back to us regarding tickets. :( But, hopefully he will travel the 3rd week of August. : )

My Hindi is suprisingly comming along great!! I can have a little simple convo..like (Namaste, Aap kaise hai? Mai thik hoon, aur aap?) when you are trying to keep your sanity then I think anything is possible... I really appreciate the positive words.. You are right we just have tooo!! Reguardless though... I am super excited about your news!! The 3rd week in August will be here before you know it. I am curious to know... why do you have to use a travel agent? WOuldnt it be cheaper just to buy the plane tickets out right?

PS...on the plane ticket---it has been less expensive for us through travel agent.
