Had the interview today at 8am which lasted about 15 minutes. Female officer asked for my green card, passport, drivers license, and marraige cert before we got to her office so she could make a copy. Did the oath in the office before we started. She asked me a lot of questions from the application, if I had taken any recent trip, etc. She then asked me 6 questions which I answered correctly, asked me to read a sentance and write a response.

She then told me that I was approved and checked the "approved" space on the N-652 (Interview Results Form)... but then said "Wait, I forgot about your fingerprints". We went over the fact that they were rejected by the FBI due to poor quality. She said rather than having me do my fingerprints again to just get police clearances from the two cities I have recently lived in and to mail it back to her. We did that directly after the appointment and they are already in a FedEx envelope for 8AM delivery tomorrow.

I asked if it was possible to please expedite the oath ceremony since I will be travelling at the end of August and would really like to have my passport before then. She said they get a lot of requests like that and she will see...

So I guess I just need to wait and see what happens next. I imagine I will get a letter in the next two weeks with an oath ceremony appointment.

Got a call (from the same officer that interviewed me) on August 5th after receiving my FedEx package with the police clearances that I had sent a week earlier on July 28th. She said I needed to come in to sign something - and asked when I could come. I told her any time. We agreed on the next morning at 9AM.

I met with her the next day. She asked me to sign an affidavit that I did not have any criminal activity, etc. Didn't take more than a minute or two. After we were done I again asked if I could be scheduled for an oath ceremony soon and was told that I would have to wait for the notice in the mail...

The wait continues...
