Hi

My wife (US citizen) filed an I-130 petition at the London Embassy on my behalf. We've now reached the stage where they have confirmed a date for my interview!

In addition to the Document Checklist items that I have to bring on the following link http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html is there anything else that would be worthwhile taking to the interview?

Also, am I allowed to bring my wife along to the interview, if so, what do I need to do?

I would really appreciate it if I could get an idea of what to expect on the day and the type of questions I will be asked?

Any other tips for the day would be very helpful!

Hey :)

From what I learned browsing the nets (most of it here) typical interview questions revolve around

o How did you meet your fiancee [i kinda assume your are male, if other way aroud read: fiance, him)?

o Did you meet her parents? Did the families overall meet?

o When was your trip, how did it look like?

o What's your fiancee's father's name?

o What will you do once entered the US of A?

o What do you want to work as abroad?

Don't let yourself be distracted from what you want (MARRY the person you love and find a new happy family), stay calm, be nice, don't babble (precise, logically craspable, rational answers) and that should be it. The G7 and G20 countries are not high-fraud, so the Consulates interviews around here should be essentially nice chatter mroe than interrogation type of things.

Hope that helps,

Mike

"Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it...It really is worth fighting for, risking everything for.

And the trouble is, if you don't risk everything, you risk even more."

People who break the rules are the reason this process is so ridiculous for the people who want to do things the right way.
