Files Sent to NVC

Hi,

My mom who is an american citizen had filed for the I - 130 for me and my brother.

We got the approval and our files were sent to the NVS. Then the NVS contacted her for some extra files like the Affidavit of support as well as our DS 230 and we have sent those as well.

Can you please advise what's next and when should we expect news from the local embassy.

After NVC received the files (ds-230) allow 6-8 weeks for the civil documents to be reviewed. The NEXT step after the review is completed is to have the CASE/S forward to the local EMBASSY/Consulate after that takes approximately 1-3 months depending on your area. I'd check the reviewes to see what others who have interacted with that embassy.

Oct 15 2012 - Pay IV fee
Oct 25 2012 - Sent AOS/IV Package
Oct 29 2012 - Pkg Delivered
Dec 24 2012 - Case Complete
May 17 2013 - Interview-Approved

July 19 2013 - Enter the USA
