im confused.. i called the consular office in cebu (im filing it here coz its just near and we would not need to set an appointment) about when will i receive my son's CRBA and passport after filing.. and the assistant said about 4-6 weeks.. but then i was told by a friend that it would only be about 2 weeks.. i need help from people who already file for CRBA or who knows about it..

and another thing.. i am not married to my son's father yet and we filed for K1.. will they always ask for paternity test if the child was born out of wedlock??

about the DNA test it depend's to the consul who will handle your son's paperworks if they are not satisfied of the evidence's that you sent to them they will goin to ask it from you or ask another proof of evidence of your relationship to the father and father son's relationship. that's what i knew about the paternity test that u were asking for.

thanks for the info.. sa cebu kasi pwede walk-in.. you pass all the requirements with the baby.. but you still have to wait for 2 weeks to hear from them though so pareho lang.. hassle na kc pag pumunta pa kami sa mla.. im from negros.. =) i gave them everything i had with me.. including the passport stamp, proof of relationship.. and required documents..

another question though.. how long will you receive the crba after filing it.. the consular said its 4-6 weeks.. is that true?? or can i have it earlier than that if i told them my K1 visa is pending because of our son's crba..

thanks for the info regarding the DNA testing..=)
