Anybody from Cagayan de Oro or Bukidnon?

Hubby and I will fly to CDO this August for vacay. Any tips on where to go and stay? We're also planning to go to Bukidnon to try Asia's longest dual zipline. I need help on getting there considering it'll be just us two. Thanks and looking forward to your replies!

Hi ! I'm from Cdo, you can stay in Cha-li Beach resort, it's nice there , but if you like near in the mall maybe you can stay at Mallberry Hotel or Pearlmont Hotel. try to exprience water rafting!

Bukidnon is three hours ride from Cdo it's far for me, how about Camiguin Island? maybe you go there, travel in the morning by bus.

Hi I came from Cdo, you can stay at Xavier Estate at their Chalet Room very nice there, have swimming pool, quite place, overlooking and free pick up from

airport and drop off then. And very affordable rate. By the way I was

there at Dahilayan Zip Zone at Bukidnon. Wow very nice there too look like

a little Baguio a lot of fun there. I am sure you will enjoy there.

Try stay at Dukay Bay located at Medina, Mis Or. I like there too you

@frenchorchids: thanks for the reply! i was actually thinking of going to camiguin but the travel time is 2 hours, so it's pretty much the same as going to Dahilayan in Bukidnon. Also, I don't want us to spend so much. The nice hotels in Camiguin are pretty expensive. but i'll check out cha-li. hope they arent so expensive.

@crissygirl: yeah, i was actually thinking about staying there but i don't know how far it is from the city? how will we commute from xavier to the city?

Hotels in Camiguin are actually pretty cheap, just don't go to the first one the Taxi driver takes you too, I am sure he gets a kickback.

Camiguin is the best place I have been in Philippines and the prettiest beaches and it's very clean and laid back and quiet. We stayed at Camigiguin Island Beach Resort Golden Sunset Beach Club. Paid around $40 per night per oceanfront room and had a private chef that would serve us breakfast lunch and dinner and coffee every morning at our patio at our room.

Last I checked (March 2010) there were no more direct flights to Camiguin. I would love to be proved wrong but I know SEAir no longer has their flight and I was not aware of another airline that traveled there.

You could be right, it's been 2 years since i was there. Check the website and call they would have updated information. The husband and wife are from Kentucky that run the place, it's really a cool island to hang out

Yep, there are no more flights direct to Camiguin. The fastest way there from Manila is to go to CDO and take the Super Cat ferry.

@tallcoolone: sounds like a true RnR! That's pretty cheap considering you'll have your own chef! We wanted to go to Bahay Bakasyunan http://www.bahaybakasyunan.com/ but it's 2,350.00 a night.
