You know, you are asking a good question and a tricky one at that. I can't really answer you if the Embassy in Egypt will ask to see photos between your family and your fiance. From one day to another it's different in the embassies. They might ask, they might not ask. My opinion, you should tell the truth regardless how old photos are or you fiance never met your family. What else can I say?

I have never heard of them calling family members and asking them for information about a relative's fiance visa. I think it is fairly safe for you to stop worrying that this will happen. Good luck.

this is just my opinion, but.... i think having family ties between ur family and fiancee is gud if other areas of ur proof of ongoing relationship evidence is weak. but if u have substantial evidence of an ongoing relationship (pictures, phone bills, emails, letters, etc), then i think ur fiancee not meeting ur family won't be a problem. again, this is just my opinion, but it's an opinion i arrived at after reading many posts on vj abt this type of stuff. i think ul b ok. good luck!

As a rule, families aren't contacted unless the case is put under intensive administrative review. I know there are some board members who have had families interviewed while in review, but again as a rule its not done.

I agree with the others, if you have other proofs of a strong and continuous relationship, then the photos won't weigh as much. I think the best advice in your case is to be 100% completely honest with the consulate.

If they do ask I think its just to see if your relationship is real. Because usually your family knows or met them.

The embassy could very well talk to your family. the Embassy in pakistan does field investigations

on all petitions. they also do field investigations in india.

I have never heard of them calling family members and asking them for information about a relative's fiance visa. I think it is fairly safe for you to stop worrying that this will happen. Good luck.

Embassys call and ask for information. or they will randomly show up.

with the pakistani embassy they do 2 random field investigations. they showed up at my husbands parents home on one day. then his aunti house on another random day.

wait the lady is USC?

from that point of view- there is always a slim chance the USICS could call her in to see them.

happend to me. the one thing that helped save me, was a letter from my mom. I got interviewed here in dallas texas. My moms letter was in support of our marriage. I guess if it came down to it - you never know when deception will haunt you. I never in my life though I would need a permission letter from my mom.

Your welcome Mike, I am not here to judge you or anyone else - it's not my position in life - I will leave that to Allah. I didn't mean to depress you - you asked opinions and I expressed mine... this is a public forum and as such if you put it out there, people will answer. What??? you only want people to answer that will tell you what you *want* to hear? Sorry, it doesn't happen that way... as I said before I wish you much luck and I think you'll need it. *** And, I didn't say your fiancee' shouldn't trust you, I merely asked if she did... not really looking for your answer, nor do I expect to get one - it's not my business... May Allah be w/ you.

My wish of luck to you is totally sincere...

Mike,

Don't worry about what others say, do what is right wth you. Be honest with the Consulate that is the most important thing.

We can't understand everything in your case some of us can relate and others cannot. We probably don't understand the circumstances that you both are under but don't be worried- just be honest.

Good luck,

Sarah
