Do I need to inform USCIS about previous GC abandonment?

My wife's previous GC (CR1) surrendered at U.S Consulate, India by completing the form I-407.

Do I need to inform USCIS about this abandonment? Or will the Consulate enter it into the USCIS system?

Unfortunately, I forgot to specify it in the covering letter of the new I-130.

isn't there a question somewhere asking if you have requested forms before on one of the documents??

i am sure you just check something somewhere that says you have recieved a visa before or something along those lines.

Yes OBX. I have filled this information on I-130 correctly.

But I forgot to write a paragraph explaining about the GC surrender. I hope based on the A# provided, they should be able to find it out, if the U.S Consulate has properly entered it in the USCIS computer system.

Who knows with USICS :wacko: but hopefully they will be able to track her history through the A#. If they have any concerns they will issue an RFE or perhaps it may only come up at the interview at which point the situation can be explained . Good luck!
