So, I got a mail from the USCIS that I'm suppose to have my initial interview on the 25th of august,.. and today is jul. 26th,.. my hubby won't be in the US by august 20th and won't be coming back till september 20 because of a scheduled job overseas.

How are we suppose to change the date of the interview and is it possible to do that? please please please,.. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

I don't know the answer to your question, but have you tried calling the USCIS in Seattle and asking them? Or, you could make an infopass appointment and ask them in person. My wife and I made an infopass appointment and went in to have a question answered. If you go to the Seattle USCIS office, make sure you take six dollars to pay for parking, or else prepare yourself for a very long walk.

So we called the 1-800-375-5283 number and talked to a representative. She then gave us a confirmation number and told us to wait for another appointment schedule which will be delivered by mail.

We also scheduled an appointment at the local USCIS office via Infopass to ask questions just to be sure.

I'm still worried. I hope everything works out fine.

after we made the call and got that confirmation number,.. we went to talk to the immigration officer at seattle office. They told us that we're all good and that we are suppose to get another letter from them for no longer than 45 days.

And now, I just got an email confirming the request for another appointment and that we should wait for it.

We hope we won't hit another bump.

Good luck to us!
