Loved Guild Wars (it's where my husband and I met). Though I don't seem to find anyone else on the board that GvG'd regularly. I still have my set of GW geek pins that I won in a tournament when I played with Legion of Losers. Can't wait to play the GW2 demo at PAX in ~month!

OK, so I broke down and bought Call Of Duty 2: Modern Warfare last night. I'm addicted.

Lightning was one of the best female protagonists in ...forever. Someone physically competent without being dressed as a compensatory hooker, she had the emotional intelligence of a rock. I knew it was perfectly doable to have a female protag who wasn't a Mary Sue, too bad I'll probably never see another one in my life time.

Doesn't sound like rpgs are your bag though...have you tried Portal?

Portal was great.

I guess my genre of choice falls into the psychological thriller/action category. I used to love playing adventure games back when it was a respectable computer game genre. (Broken Sword, Gabe Knight, and Dreamfall series all had great female protagonists.)

I also play Sims 3, but usually end up creating me + hubby + Duggar-esque family which slightly weirds out my husband.

I played The Sims and The Sims 2, but when The Sims 3 came out and the company suddenly got very proprietary about user derived content, I was forever turned off. I tried Portal as it came with the Orange Box bundle. I didn't really like it though and haven't installed it on my new comp. I've played several FPS games in the past (Soldier of Fortune 2,3, Counter Strike, Counter Strike Source, Team Fortress 2,3) But the level of realism in Call Of Duty 2 is unreal. I'm finding it much harder to see people than in previous FPS games. Are client mods allowed on CoD?

Played Soldier of Fortune series, Battlefield 1942, BF 2 and Bad Company, Frontlines, Call of Duty 2 and 4. Heaps of PS2/3 games, clocked Double Dragon on a Nintendo and other older games lol. I have Flight Sim 2004 and Flight Sim X, on my signature is a screen shot from the Flight Sim X game converted to make it like an old photo.

We're an xbox 360 family, lol. The man just finished Red Dead, and we both just finished Borderlands. I'm still hooked on Battlefield Bad Company 2, he's over that one already..Oh, and he's also playing some new footy one that just came out last month

He's alos playing Eve Online.
