My fiance and I have an interview Sep20th and I need to put in vacation time from work. I need to know more or less how long will it take for us to have the K-1 visa in our hands so I know how long I need to take off from work. The interiew will be in the Dominican Republic.

It all depends on how long you plan to stay. Domex delivers the Visa 7-14 days after the day you are approved. Depending on where your fiancee lives, it may take come sooner or longer.

I took off 4 days. I arrived 2 days before the interview so we could get settled and organize everything. So do what you need to do. This is very important, so I encourage you to make the necessary arrangements. It will be a lot less stressful if you plan things out.

Hope this helps.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20
