Hey guys,

Today I had my interview for a tourist B-2 visa and I got a multi entry visa. I will share my experience and I hope it will help some of you guys.

Some of you may know, some of you may not but I have a fiancée in the USA. Before the whole application process I gathered all the documents I could think of(work contract, pay slips, invitation letter, bank statement, lease, holiday approval, ticket). On the DS 160 form I filled that I'm going to visit my fiancée and that I will stay for 3 weeks. I mean I was very honest and relaxed because I had nothing to hide. I really am just going to visit for 3 weeks and come back.

So I had the interview today and I must say I was surprised how easy it went. I was greeted by a very polite lady. First she asked me why am I going to the USA?- I said I was going for tourist reasons. She asked me who will i visit?- I told her that I'm going to visit my fiancée . She asked me if I plan to live in the USA in the future or my current country? I told her that I have a USC fiancée we plan a future life together but this visit is for 3 weeks because she has been the one visiting me and I got invitation from her and her family to visit them this summer. She asked me how many times we have seen each other in the past 3 years and she asked me also when we got engaged. She then explained about the k-1 visa and spousal visa and told me the things I already knew-this is just a tourist visa. I thanked her for the explanation.

Next she asked me where I work and what is my monthly income and there were no more question. She told me that my visa is approved and that was it. She didn't ask for my lease, work contract, pay slips, bank statement, invitation letter, no info about my family or anything. No additional documents at all!

I just smiled, said thank you and that was it.

So as you see my experience has been positive. As I said I was very relaxed on the interview, dressed up told the truth and got the visa. I guess it helps if you are confident, smile and just be honest about your intentions. In my case it helped.

Good luck and all the best to the rest of you!
