I didnt get a stamp after the green card interview. She wrote pending on my passport and took my I-94. She also gave me a note says wait for 60 days, but no more info/doc needed. We dont have joint bank account or any of such. She took wedding photos, and asked some basic questions, like each others phone numbers. I have an affective Stay Away Order from the court, which I tried but failed to remove it. but we have permission to meet on that day. Interview officer also mentioned it at the very beginning, but the interview continued.

No stamp. I'm so worried, will I be disapproved?

Hard to say, really.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

No way to tell at this point, unfortunately. You will just have to wait for the notice.

It could be interpreted as a good sign that she took your I-94. Also take comfort in the fact that it isn't outright denial.

I've heard of some cases in the past where the interview did not result in immediate approval but a few weeks later they received welcome letter in the mail. Of course I don't know how much the court order will affect this.. I suppose it depends on how well you explained why there is one in the first place (??)

Hang in there...

Best of luck to you

During our AOS interview I requested the stamp, after we were verbally told that we had been approved. The officer stated no real need for the stamp, because you will be getting an approval letter within the mail in approximately (5) business days and, your GC should arrive in about two weeks. Considering you have your combo EAD/AP card, technically, there is no real rush to apply the stamp. If I had to guess, they probably do not want a lot of “stamps” to be issued all over the country. Regarding them telling you are approved at the interview, I would imagine that varies. They may have to gather more information in order to deliberate your case further. Yes, I know it is nerve racking, but take it step by step. What do you mean that you have a “Stay Away Order from the court?” Never heard of this relating to an immigration case.

OP – I am guessing your AOS was from K1 to GC.

Also it seems you have some issues with your wife and you have no contact order, so I am guessing you either filed for divorce.

This makes your case more complicated, that you entered the country on K1 and are filing for AOS based on the marriage but it seems the marriage is not working out.

This thread is a year old. A lot of people don't get the stamp at their interview, even if they are approved. It means nothing.

It seems the OP had a restraining order put out against him by his wife, which makes his case much more complicated and probably unlike any one else's here. Again, the OP posted this a year ago - no sense in digging up old threads, especially when the circumstances are totally different.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Harpa looks like the thread got hijacked by another user look at post #9 which made this thread current and ppl are responding to the orignial post :)

I know, but still, it's meaningless to compare stories from a year ago with exceptional circumstances (a restraining order). I wanted to make sure people realized the OP is a year old, because I doubt the OP is around to respond. If you want to discuss it more, have at it :)
