Hi fellow members! :star:

This form (DS-2001) is the set of instructions sent by the embassy once the NOA2 is approved.

I'm wondering if someone has already received it from the French embassy, and if yes, if i can know what is the checklist of items required for the interview..

Thank you.. :)

Strange - I asked the same question quite a while ago and received no answers...

Not so long ago, the DS 2001 in France actually was no checklist, only a paper to be filled out with your name and address and you sign declaring that you are ready for the interview.

The so called Packet 3 contains this paper DS 2001, then the actual checklist*, and DS-230 part I, DS-156k and DS 157.

You have to fill form DS-156 on line.

They tell you to send back form DS-230 part I and the paper 2001 signed declaring that you have gathered all documents and are ready to be received.

To the interview you'll bring forms DS-156 (x2), DS-157, all documents listed on the checklist* which are actually the same as listed here:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3741.html

and I-134 (filled by your fiance-petitioner), and chronopost envelope 1 or 2 kg, and the receipt - postal note for the visa fee paid.

Hello All!

Like a dummy  I sent the DS-230 Part I as soon as I got the letter from the Embassy as so it says on the letter (STEP ONE).

Now that I have gathered all the documents, I am ready to send DS-2001 but I've just read on the form that I am supposed to send this together with DS-230. What would you do in my place? Re-send it (I have a photocopy too) or assume they have kept it somewhere (I know they have it cos I go the accusé de reception)?

Please help as I'm not sure what I should do.

Also, my fiancé is about to send me his affidavit of support in the next day or so; is it bad if from DS-2001 is dated prior to say his bank statement?
