you can't sponsor a person for a visitor visa, the most you can do is extend a letter of invitation. they have to get the visitor visa by themselves. they have to go to an appointment at the American Consulate or Embassy in their country of origin and show strong ties to their county and be financially solvent.

You can't sponsor your biological parents for any visa. Being legally adopted severed any ability ability to petition for them. You can send them an invitation letter to visit you, you can cosponsor them if someone with a petition-able relationship petitions them but immigration wise there is nothing you can do.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

As the others said- no, you cannot.

Visitor visas do not need- in fact, cannot have- a sponsor. If you like, you can write a letter saying they will stay with you, that you will pay for their flights etc, but it won;t have much influence. Your bio parents need to apply for the visitor visa themselves, and show strong ties to their home country.

That's Correct - the information you've been given is true. You're unable to do anything BUT submit an invitation letter to anyone who wants to apply for a Visitor's Visa. NOw-a-days the invitation "letter" has lost it's pull and is solely up to the Applicant to "prove" to the Embassy that he/she will be going back to whereever they are from after they visit the USA. JUst equipher with some strong ties to her country and thet i know would be the best pull. The best of luck to you...!!

Much better if the y apply themselves and do not seek any financial support from you.

Visitor Visa is to be a tourist, so there is no need for a sponsor, since tourists come and go with their own money.

But, to be eligible, most consulates will ask proofs of ties with the country, to prove that the person can come back. Also, that the person has money to pay for the trip. Are you asking the sponsor question because of that? You wanting to pay the flying tickets for your parents, something like that?

This is what happened to me, when I did my tourist visa in Brazil: I was graduating from colege, without a job, so no income. My father was paying the trip as a graduation gift. So I scheduled the consulate interview for my visitor visa, and on the interview, I took with me a letter from him saying that he was the one paying for everything, and income/property docs from him. Also a letter that stated that I had to come back to do my professional license, which was the only thing I had pending in Brazil and that I had to come back or else my 5 years of college would be wasted.

No official sponsorships though, like on the immigrant visas.

Edit: BTW, I don't know how it is in your country, but in Brazil, I was VEEEEERY close to be denied. They prefer people who have their own means to go to U.S. and lots of money to spend, so I had an absurd amount of luck there. Good luck for you getting your parents to visit! Mine made it this year, it was fun to show them my new home :)
