My wife is going crazy. She is constantly calling me because she is very nervous for the CR1 interview next week. Her nervousness is now starting to affect me even though I have been pretty calm up until now. Do you have any tips for how to relax the last few days prior to the interview?

1/10/2010-----> Mailed I-130

1/17/2010-----> NOA 1 - Hard Copy

3/28/2010-----> NOA 2 - Email

4/02/2010-----> NOA 2 - Hard Copy

6/14/2010-----> NVC Processing Complete

8/02/2010-----> Interview Date @ 8:00am - Result = PINK!!!

it all depends on what is causing the stress... we tried to look at things from the standpoint that it was a business meeting and that helped some.. the best thing was the fact that Thuy was very comfortable with what was going to happen and she likely knows more about me than my mother does.

As long as the relationship is valid and nobody lies about anything its only a matter of time before she is here...

Best of luck... she will be there a week from tonight... :thumbs:

Try going over interview questions with her. Go over the same ones over and over again. The key is to get comfortable answering questions. Hopefully with enough practice she'll be confident and the stress will go away.

If you're as prepared as you can be, try to do something to get your mind off the whole interview like going out with friends...

The stress of just thinking of anymore preparation will get you more stressed. Hopefully you guys are ready! GOODLUCK!

First of all, good luck on her interview.

Talk to her Relax, Relax, and Relax, and everything will be Okay. Just ask her questions about you, and don't give her more stress.

Tell her to bring her mother to the interview with her. Will calm her down, and give her more confident.

Good luck... she will be fine with a pink slip... :dance:

02-25-2009 : Payment Received from my bank (AOS)

03-04-2009 : NVC has received the Choice of Agent DS-3032 (Online)

I would suggest going out to the consulate and hang out for a day or two. This may not be your case but, many of our wives/fiancees are from small towns and not used big city feel. They have never been in this environment, they become nervous and begin to panic. Many have never interviewed for anything before. They might get intimidated by the guards with the rifles or the facade of the consulate. I think they become preoccupied with trival stuff like what to wear, where do i stand, how long am i going to have to wait when i'm inside, etc. Go out there and just observe, see how people line up, look at the people going in and out. hopefully this would get rid at least some of the butterflies.
