Hello all,

I received my letter today stating what needs to be done, and when the checklist and the DS form is filled in and sent to the London Embassy the interview will be appointed.

However, my passport is due to run out in April 2011, and I want to renew it now (because I want to head out to see my fiancee at the end of August for a week before the big move) and having filled out my passport number on previous forms, I wonder that with my new passport (and presumably new passport number) will it effect any of the forms I have already filled out to get to this stage in the visa?

Kind regards,

Barry

p.s. I think I will use the one week passport process to speed it up a bit.

Personally, I wouldn't think it would make a difference, especially as I think one of the requirements of the K1 visa is that your passport has at least 6 months of validity on it, so you would need to get it renewed soon anyway. Do you get your expired passport returned to you in the UK when you renew? I know you do here in the US, so what you could do is renew your passport and then take your old passport along with you when you go to your visa interview. That way you could show that you had that passport number, but that you also renewed it as well.
