At long last - interview date!

Well today in the mail came my interview date ... doesn't give me very long to get everything together, but hey who's complaining, I have been accumulating "evidence" for the last two years! The interview is in Tampa, August 24, 2006 at 1.30pm. As you can see from my timeline - it's been a long wait, but I have one questions.

It states in the paragraph "what to bring with you" I need a completed medical examine (Form I693). I arrived here on a L1 and no medical examine was required, so hence nothing to update - have to start this from the beginning. I have printed off a list of Civil Surgeons in Sarasota and will call first thing Monday. My question is, I have no idea what a medical examine, vacinnation supplement etc consists of - will I be able to complete this by August 24th? Is it a one appointment situation? I have printed off the I693 (all four copies) ... do I take this with me for them to complete?

Oh well, had better get on with assembling, copying the last two years documents .... perfect timing though, it's our two year wedding anniversary on Monday August 14th, so hopefully this will be the last hurdle in the immigration run.

One other niggle ... my original I485 paperwork was submitted by a "Immigration Specialist" ... I haven't spoken to him since it was all filed in October 2004 ... I have left a voicemail for him today, but if he doesn't reply, does it matter that I might not have copies of my original paperwork from the I485, AP & EAD?

Timeline

Look for civil surgeons in your area and call them - you may need a full medical (I think) so check around for the best price. You don't need any originals for the interview other than the proof pf living together e.g joint bank statements, utility bills, health insurance, life insurance, car insurance, home/car titles, lease/mortgage/rental agreement etc. - take what you have. Good Luck-

Thanks for all the kind words and information, I'll call Monday and make the necessary medical examination appointment. Back to sorting through two years plus of "evidence"! :hehe:
