Hello all!

We got our NVC receipt letter back at the end of June and still hadn't heard anything from the London Consulate. Well, David called today and apparently they sent out his packet 3 a while ago and it's gotten lost in the mail... They directed him to the website where he can find all the forms and things, but there seems to be nothing there that gives instructions on how to schedule his medical exam. I'm assuming he just needs the phone number to call and our case #? Because he's not going to get a physical packet 3, we're not sure... I know there's a link that's floating around these forums that is supposed to be the instructions from the embassy, but currently that link goes to the embassy website and says the topic can't be found...

Could anyone tell me what their packet 3 instructions were for scheduling the exam? Or at least the number to call and maybe the hours that they're open?

Thanks a million!!

Kelly

The London Embassy just re-vamped their website, new links no longer work. Their "packet 3" is just a letter which in my fiance's case directed him to a bunch of web pages that weren't there anymore, woo.

Here's the page with the medical info, all you need is your LND case number to schedule (see the PDF, link is on the right hand side of the page): http://london.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas/medical-examination.html

Here's the page with the forms he'll need to fill out: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Good luck!

I'm new here but a long time lurker. My fiance's packet 3 also seemed to go missing in the mail. We called the embassy and they also directed us to the website. I keep reading about this "checklist" that needs to be sent in. I don't see a checklist on the website. Am i just missing something? Is this an important part of what needs to be sent back to London? Also, does London expect us to send any of the documentation at this point (ie copy of his birth certificate, police certificate, evidence of engagement) or is that all presented at the actual interview and for now we just send the forms? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

Follow this link: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

On the right hand side, the box titled "Download the Visa Application Forms" lists all the forms you need to download and fill out. On some of the forms are checklists of things you need to include, how to send back, etc. Read all of the instructions because some require being filled out/sent in duplicate.

I feel like I should say I'm no seasoned expert here, I'm at the same stage myself, but I spent today doing this and it seemed like I had the answer to your question. Hope this helps.

The checklist is important. It's the thing that tells them "I have all these needed documents in hand, so I'm ready for the interview." They will not schedule your interview until they get the checklist back from you. You can send the other 4 DS forms back so they will get your file going asap, and send the checklist when you've gotten everything needed for the interview as listed on the checklist (birth certificate, police report, etc, etc.). Or if you were planning ahead and have everything onl the checklist in hand, then send all the forms back together.

Only the forms go in the mail. The other items (on the checklist) are taken to the interview. London has never asked anyone of proof of their engagement to my knowledge of a couple of years on VJ. They will not look at your photos or Skype logs or love letter emails. It just doesn't happen in London. Spend your time getting your I-134 spot on perfect. Read those instructions on the link given you above. Get the right birth certificate.

And read some helpful insider tips in the UK Wiki, which starts HERE. Don't forget to follow the links to all the other pages.
