I'm 37 yrs old LPR since I was 16 yrs old and recently decided to become a USC. I did some research and I believe I fulfill the requirement through derivative citizenship through my naturalized father.

- I came to US when I was 16 yrs old as LPR

- Father was naturalized when I was a minor

- Parents are divorce but father has full custody of me ( I have court paper of custody)

- I lived with my father when I was a minor

From research, I believe I can directly apply for US passport to save money and time and later on apply using N600 to get the certificate of citizenship. I don't qualify under Child Citizen Act since I was over 18 when it was in effect.

My question are:

- Has anybody here successfully applied for US passport as a adult using secondary evidence of citizenship?

- What documents to bring ( I have my father's naturalization cert, my Birth certificate and custody paper)? - Any input on what I might encounter at the interview since I dont qualify under CCA? or should I just go ahead and apply using N600?

What's my chance of success with the current documents that I have?

Thank you
