So many differences between my beautiful wife and my ex.

One of them was that my ex would award me the movie title of: "THE UNFORGIVEN"

I was guilty no matter what I did, she just dreamed up excuses to complain & rant.

One of them was that I would receive a major-league barrage of insults if I farted, even a little one.

The ill-feeling from an episode like this would tend to last for days & weeks, I kid you not.

I don't fart any more or less than any other guy my age.

Those things happen to both sexes.

My wife always laughs whenever I cut one and gets extra flirty.

It means "I love you no matter what you do."

yup thats my husband, I say its spousal abuse, he doesn't care. He thinks his fart smells like roses.

To the OP I do ewww and all that but not sure why a fart would lead to awesome sex.

True love is -- when either of you has to fart in bed -- the perpetrator-to-be announces the event with as much advance notice as possible, turns a minimum of 90 degrees away (optimally, 180 degrees), perpetrates, and flaps the perpetration outside HIS/HER side of the covers, si man.

It happens-like so many other bodily functions. We don't make an issue out of it. It's certainly not a turn on though, not sure I quite get that.

My ex was always a ####### about it. He made you want to go into another room if you had to fart because he made such a huuuuuge deal about it. When you're a grown person, it really shouldn't continue to be such a great source of ridicule and amusement.

Serious sidebar: I want the linguistic answer regarding the meaning (& origin of the meaning) of the verb "to cut" in the phrase "cut a fart." I could find nothing in any slang dictionary or regular dictionary that dealt with the verb's usage in that phrase.

I had an ex-boyfriend who made a huge deal of farting as well as burping, telling me that girls aren't supposed to do those things.

Passing gas is normal, but it doesn't have to smell overtly offensive. When it does, I think a spouse owes it to their partner to go into another room or the garage....and then eat some yogurt or take a pro-biotic.

my husband says his fart don't stink. I feel like burrowing myself in the ground when he farts lol.. i usually dive for covers when we're in bed. now my mom would puke if she hears somebody fart let alone smell it lol. I have grown to live with my husband's farting but it definitely will not lead to great sex haha..
