we have a jar of pickled pigs feet in our cabinet right now.. hubby picked it up a few months ago when he went grocery shopping with me and was very vague about how to use them but I told him if he wanted them he had to deal with them

HAL 9000 has a heuristic palate. It learns to appreciate delicious tastes.

I've given my dogs pig ears, but i've heard that it is bad for them. I have seen pig ears on a menu at a pinoy restaurant menu. Pinoy restaurant menus make Scottish food look tame. Pigs blood? FML.

You should watch the show No Reservations with Antholy Bourdain. In one episode, he took a Filipino kid to the Philliphines and attended the Filipino's family BBQ. They ate everything from that big. Ears, eyes, intestine, everything. So a lot of people eat a lot of different carps.

Also watch Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmeran. Both comes on Travel Channel.

Yep, pig ears are one of the ingredients in feijoada. Actually, a portuguese sausage, pig ears and feet and bacon.

Here in Puerto Rico all supermarkets carry pig ears too, although I haven't seen a dish that contained yet, at least not at my in-laws. I think they use it in some stews or something.

I'm personally not a huge fan of the ears and feet, but they do make the beans in the feijoada tasty.
