My fiancee easily passed the interview in Kiev. They gave her the visa the next day. They asked a few questions. How did you meet? When did you fall in love? What work does he do? What color are his eyes? When are you planning on getting married?

Also, the Kiev embassy does not require the I-134 financial statement. They said that you only need to provide enough documentation to show that you can support a fiancee. I submitted a notice from my work showing my employment dates and salary. I also sent some bank statements. I did not have anything notarized, and I sent all of the documents by email.

02-21-2006 Mailed K-1 application to Nebraska.

02-23-2006 USPS online confirmation of delivery.

02-24-2006 NOA1 (received 03-02-2006).

02-28-2006 Touched - first time.

03-01-2006 Check cashed.

05-03-2006 NOA2 - 68 days from NOA1.

05-16-2006 NVC received application.

06-27-2006 NOA2 again?

08-08-2006 Interview at Kiev embassy.

08-09-2006 Received the K-1 visa.

10-07-2006 Arrived at JFK airport.

10-26-2006 Applied for Social Security card.

12-29-2006 Married!!!

01-03-2007 Received Social Security card.

01-22-2007 Mailed I-485, I 765, and I-131 forms.

01-26-2007 NOA for I-485, I-765, and I-131.

01-27-2007 Received Illinois state ID card and driver's permit.

02-15-2007 Biometrics appointment.

02-28-2007 Received driver's license.

03-08-2007 I-485 approved.

03-15-2007 Received Permanent Resident Card.

03-15-2007 Applied for Social Security Card with married last name.

11/03/05 - sent RFE response back

11/16/05 - day 100 still waiting..

11/18/05 - NOA2

12/13/05 - Received letter from NVC dated 12/7/05

12/21/05 - Embassy got case.

11/27/2007 Got the Visa

02/12/2008 Got Married

03-10-08 AOS Package arrived in Chicago

03-14-08 All Cheques cashed

03-17-08 NOAs for I-485, I-765 and I-131 received

Congratulations! I like how fast they deliver the visa to your fiancee.. I am still waiting for my visa to be delivered. They said it takes around 7-10 days... oh well! :)

Jan. 3, 2007- Cashed cheques for AOS and EAD

March 15, 2007- AOS interview; APPROVED!!

March 23, 2007- Welcome letter/notice received from mail

March 27, 2007- GREENCARD

Sept 5, 2007 - my first anniversary in the U.S

Jan 30, 2009 - Mailed I-751 removal of conditional residence status

Feb 2, 2009 - Package mailed 10:22 AM at Laguna Niguel, CA (CSC)

Feb 5, 2009 - Check cashed

Feb 26, 2009 Biometrics

  • October 4, 5, 7, 13 & 17 2006 Touches! 50 day address change... Yes Judith is beautiful, quit staring at her passport photo and approve us!!! Shaming works! LOL
  • October 13, 2006 NOA2! November 2, 2006 NOA2? Huh? NVC already processed and sent us on to Abu Dhabi Consulate!
