So, my grandma and mom came up to visit for the weekend. We had dinner at our favorite place here last night and as we were walking to the car, my 84 year old grandma who's healthy as a horse took a tumble and wacked her head next to the side walk. Alhamdulilah (can't say that enough), she missed the concrete sidewalk and all of the broken glass in the area. She has some minor bleeding in her brain, but right now she's doing just fine.

It was just really really scary. I love my grandma so much. She was the first one in my family to accept my husband, and she means a lot of me.

*sigh* death is a scary thing.

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

Feb 6, 2007 - checks cashed for AOS/EAD/AP - YAY!

March 8, 07 - Biometrics appt in NOLA

April 17, 07 - AP approved

April 19, 07 - EAD approved

Oh i know how you feel. Last year my mother did the same thing, took a fall and hit her head on concrete. She was also bleeding for a while in her brain but all came out well. My prayers and blessing are with you.

7-26-06 Faisal is approved for K3 Visa

8-24-06, Faisal arrives at O'Hare Airport!!!!!!!

EAD filed in middle of September, 2006 approved in middle of October, 2006 and husband working

at end of October, 2006!

5-2-07- Noa1 on AOS

5-18-07-fingerprinting completed

5-25-07-letter received from USCIS from Missouri asking for proof of income from cosponsor.

AOS INTERVIEW SET FOR SEPTEMBER 5, 2007 IN CHICAGO

Back from a day at the hospital. She was ready to be discharged this morning, but they couldn't find a dr to sign the paperwork until this afternoon, and by then, it was too late to drive back to her home in Madison (5 hours away). Hope they get their act in gear and get her discharged early tomorrow.

Alhamdulilah, she's just fine. The bleeding in her brain hasn't gotten worse, which apparently means she'll be fine. (L)
