Have you tried calling and speaking to someone? We were checking the automated service and it kept saying no record so i made my husband call and speak to someone. Our case is there it just has not been added to the system yet!

It sometimes may take up to 30 days untill you receive it. They have a mailling system that seems to sent out per week, so don't worry, it will arrive.

I suggest that you call and speak with an operator. They appear to be slow on updating their automatic system. Our application was sent to NVC and 4 days later was on the way to Brasil.

don't worry, i think you'll get your nvc case number soon. i've waited for more than a week then today i talked to the operator i was able to receive my number. be patient and everything will be fine!

Cases for K-type visas are not entered into the automated system at the NVC. They are processed in and out too quickly for it to be necessary. You must phone and speak with a live person. Be prepared with yor case number, both your and your beneficiary's birthdates, and the phone number of the petitioner for verification purposes.

It took almost 2 weeks for my k-1 petition to arrive.

Yeah same here... the automated system said they didn't recieve my petition. Its pretty hard to get a hold of a real person there. They have this system that will hang up on you instead of putting you on hold if they're too busy. Best bet is to call around 11pm est. Thats the only time I got through... and I was so excited that when she asked me for my fiance's bday I gave her the wrong year. I can't believe the customer service person actually laughed at me... lol!! oh well.

the times can vary think it depends on how any they get in one day but do not worry about it, youjust have to try and be patient, hard at times I know

If you phone through to NVC when you hear the first voice press 1 and then when you hear the second voice press 5. I used to phone through when I knew it was 7.30 a.m. their time or when I knew it would be about 5.00 p.m nearly always got through unless the automated system was playing up and then I just used to give it up as a bad job and wait untill the next day

1 week is not long at all so don't worry. Some people wait months.

If you want to call then do what the others said and speak to a person. They will tell you to call back after it has been 30 days.

I think my petition took about 10 days or so before it got shipped out to Morocco so sit tight, one week is nothing.

I got my NOA2 on July 31st. I got the letter saying that the petition was received at NVC, and would be on it's way to London within a week, yesterday (08/12/06). The letter was dated August 9th. Until that point, I was told on the phone that there was no record of it having arrived at NVC.

Dont feel bad, my petition was rec'd at NVC right after the NOA2, which was 7/14/06, but is has not moved since then, they are holding my petition hostage... I keep calling and calling to find out when they are sending it to the consulate and they keep telling me it takes 2-4 weeks, well today is 4 weeks, and I bet they have a new excuse today, when I call. We will see....don't worry it will get there, and I bet as soon as it gets there it will be on the way out to the consulate within a few short days and everything will be fine. Good luck to you

BTW - this is for everyone, the automated service does not work for K-1 because they are not there long enough to bother entering them into that service, so you have to speak to an operator to get information on your case, just bypass the automated service.

our NOA2 was Aug 1. it's about 2 weeks now since then. i spoke with someone at NVC and they said our case wasn't in their system yet. but i was touched on August 7.

i don't know what's going on there...
