Hi! I have a very small scar on my lung stemming from a history of tuberculosis. In 2007, I've been diagnosed with inactive TB without any symptoms, except for the positive chest x-ray (no coughs, and I'd been always sputum negative). In 2008, I have completed the 6-month treatment with DOTS (the government agency responsible for TB cases in the Philippines), and I have my treatment papers and old x-rays with me. After my treatment, I have been having 1-2 x-rays per year, as prescribed by my doctor, and recently had one in June 2010. It showed that my scar has become even smaller. I will bring all these documents and old x-rays with me during my medical exam at St. Luke's.

I've been reading posts on VJ about lung scars (they've been very informative, thanks!), but I haven't found someone who has the same case as me -- that is, having completed the treatment, and having annual x-rays ever since. According to the posts I've read, those who had suspicious chest x-rays had their 2-month sputum test, and were asked to take anti-TB meds for 2 months or more. Does anyone have the same history as mine? Is there any special procedure or protocol for K1 applicants with my history? Anything I should prepare myself for?
