Do people's timelines change based on what payment method they used for USCIS? Money order or check? Or does it all work out the same, regards.

I don't think so. You can have additional tracking if it is check.

Do check. Because as soon as USCIS cashes your check, you can log into your bank account and see a scanned copy of the check. On the back of the check you'll have your case number. It will probably start with WAC. But don't forget to add 1 to the number to get your actual case number. Like if on the back of the check it says WAC1234567891, you add 1 to that. So it's WAC1234567891 + 1 = WAC1234567892. Checks also give you a paper trail. Money order won't. So go with cash, champ!

You're good with money order. Hey did you make sure you got the right amount. USCIS fee went up recently. I'm not sure if it's still $355 or if it went up. Let me check really quickly.

I had to add +2 digits ..... adding 1 digit is not always true my friend.....and it may be....but there's no way of knowing if adding +1 is right or +2 is right...

I sent I-130s for my wife and step son to Chicago lockbox in mid April and both of the numbers on the back of my checks were 2 less than the actual case numbers. Also, their I-130s were forwarded to CSC. Any patterns seen?
