Udella is right. It's not about negativity, it's about understanding the reality. I suggest you look at recent timelines for K-1 Canadians going through the Montreal consulate. Talking with people from other countries and consulates isn't going to help. There are plenty of places around the world where a 5 month time frame is reasonable, but not in Montreal. The wait for the interview alone can be almost 5 months.

Ugh, 136 days waiting for my interview after returning my P3...I will never forget that time...

As Flames mentioned, no one can guarantee you will get through but the best stuff to take is ties to canada (leases, bills, letter from employer stating you are due back on X date) and some people have taken a copy of the NOA1 (the conformation letter your fiance received) to show you are doing things the proper way. That stuff should get you through but we have read of a few unlucky people who got turned back anyway. Ultimately its down to the POE but the nice thing is that if you go through an airport that has pre-screening canada side then you know if they let you through to your flight that you wont have any issues.

Welcome to VJ Diana. Don't be afraid to come in to ask questions, vent, or tell us good news! :) This whole process can be very overwhelming, and stressful. We're all here to encourage and uplift each other. One thing you can do is research the things you'll need for the next step. I was always doing that, so there wouldn't be too many surprises. One thing that is usually asked at the interview is proof of relationship, so keep emails, and proof of phone calls, anything that you send each other through regular mail, pictures and proof of visits to each other, things like that. I can't vouch for everyone, but my interviewer asked me and I had lots to prove! :)
