I think the point here is that the handling of this story by the networks was atrocious and propagandist.

People love to harp on the merits of one network over another, but the truth is that two sides of a sh!t story makes a sh!t sandwich, and anyone who bought into the angle peddled by the media ate every bite.

Point being is that Obama thinks very little of fox news and similar outlets. I dont think he was tricked into making the decision based on the "atrocious and propagandist" portrayal of the story.
