Yes, it was unless it was clearly marked as being humourous in which case it would not have violated TOS. Since the humour was unclear and the post was reported as being racist, someone viewed it that way.

we are talking about peple who live in an insulated community that does not function in the capitalist model, therefore having not an understanding of the reality the rest of the world faces. they give their learned opinions, carefully choosing specifically created words like "homophobe" and "xenophobe" and "racist" that are designed as bully clubs to deny the will of the average person, and the reality the average person experiences. in so doing, they create a "schism" in the cultural personality (if ou'll forgive my mixing psychology with socology) that begs for resolution.

I don't think the way you wrote that puts the moderating process in a very positive light - as it suggests that for a post to be removed as "racism" it merely has to reported as such and the moderator will act on the report rather than on judging the content and intent of the post for themselves.

Perhaps rather than respond to merely accusations, the person reporting the post accompanies the report with a short explanation of why they think it to be racist. Then you have an idea of where they are coming from.
