I'm bored; so, naturally I wrote a letter to Lindsey Lohan

gnocchi sandwich? a potato pasta sandwich?
I know. It was like starch + starch + starch.

I deeped fried chicken wings once. The wings had nothing. Not even salt. Just deep fried them until crispy. Then served with honey mustard sauce. I have a thing for honey mustard sauce.

I'm not much of a cook. A few days ago I made homemade gnocchi. They turned out remarkably good and went great with store-bought marinara sauce. After I boiled the gnocchi, I drained out the water from the shallow pot and tossed in liberal amount of virgin olive oil and finely minced mint. Then I sautéed the gnocchi until they started to become light brown before adding the marinara sauce. Then I cooked them for another few minutes until the sauce thickened up. It was a pretty good dish. The leftover I baked next day and made a gnocchi sandwich for lunch. Sounds odd but hey, I liked it.

Let me get this straight. You went to all the trouble of making homemade gnocchi, then use a store-bought marinara sauce? Sigh. I am DISAPPOINTED!

Oh, can I have Lindsey's address? I have a letter I want to write to her, too. innocent.gif

I think my cooking instructions always sound easier than are for less experienced cooks. I confuse people with "you know, til it's done" or "ya know, like, a little"

lol It took me forever to really get a feel for when things are getting done. My minced beef used to go horrible because I would cook it so long because I was terrified it wasn't cooked through.

That was kind of my problem, I thought they wouldn't take that long frying but then I poked them and blood was still coming out so I ended up putting them in the oven anyway because I was afraid I'd give us all food poisoning. Even with the hot sauce they were really uhh...bland.

Honey mustard sauce is the best! My husband doesn't like it hot so I put in some mayo too.

An instant-read thermometer is a really handy tool to have around the kitchen. :)

I could never make homemade marinara sauce. Actually I never tried. I should probably give that a try one of these days. I feel bad about using store-bought sauce. I'll let you'll know if I try making gnocchi again.

I don't know her address. It was like an open letter that I'd post on a blog or mail to a newspaper to be published. It was a two page long love letter urging Lindsey to serve out her time honorablely, then getaway with me to a island in Pacific ocean. We could live of her money for the rest of her like in Samoa or something. And she wouldn't have to deal with any of the things anymore. And I'd be by her side forever. I also threw in a paragraph about how her frekles make her so much more hotter. Check out Complex Magazine cover. Freckles on thigh = HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!

Oh God! Do I have a freckle fetish? -shudders-

I reallly have no amounts to tell you because I just dump stuff in, but next time put salt, black pepper, white pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne in the flour before coating the wings with it.

My mom soaks her chicken wings in buttermilk overnight. He spikes the buttermilk with Mrs Dash's spicy seasoning mix. They turn out pretty good. Sometimes she does this with chicken breasts. Then makes chicken fingers. Try this method. Maybe it might work for you also.

put salt in the buttermilk to make it into a brine. add in some thyme and red onions. makes really good fried chicken. you can also use the onion slices and make them into onion rings by lightly coating them in the same seasoned flour mixture.

I simply throw the wings (drummettes preferably) in the deep frier until they are crispy, then whisk them in Franks Extra Hot. Simple and delicious!

one of the ways I like to do chicken wings is bake the wings in the oven for about 20 minutes and then drain them and put them in a bowl with some BBQ sauce mixed with black pepper, let it sit in that for about 20 minutes and then either bake them for another 20 minutes in the oven or finish them off on the grill... brushing with additional sauce if so desired...

I recently found a simple recipe for homemade BBQ sauce.. yum..
