My family's case was completed on July 26th. Judging from the posts here, it seems Nigeria has a long wait time. I don't know about Ghana but can someone furnish me with any ideas as to how long the interview date could take?

From what I've read here, Nigeria is the easy one when compared with Ghana. I might be off track but it seemed that the folks going through Accra had a lot more headache with the US Consulate there than just about anyone anywhere else in the world. Maybe with the exception of GZ and HCM...

You'll get there, though. Be strong and be patient.

Good Luck!

On an NVC completed IR-1 as of 2006 for Accra Consulate you're probably looking at between 4-6 months. The Accra consulate is pretty busy around this time of the year. Currently 221(g) rfe's rescheduling is taking between 4-6 months for next appointments. Good Luck.

Check out my timeline from last year. Other, more current ones seem to be about the same. The NVC does the scheduling for Cr1 interviews at lagos during the second week of each month. You can call each month to find out if you have been scheduled.

Don't worry. Ghana embassy is not that bad providing you have all the evidence and documents you are suppose to have. I attended my husband's interview, so I really was there to see what goes on. It did not take me that long to get an interview date, just relax and it will be fine. My interview was exactly 2 months from my case completion.

Thanks to you all for your wonderful input on this issue. I'm still clinging on with the hope that I'll wake up one day to hear VISA APPROVED! Thanks once again!
