Dear All.,

I have heard from many of you that I can start looking into filling out certain forms so that we will not get behind before the interview.

#1

Since I have received my NOA2, can I start getting my I-134 and I-864 (for purpose of using assets) ready? One question though...is it to soon to sign and date these forms and send to Morocco? It takes about 12 days for him to receive any of my mail, if it gets there at all.

#2 Other Forms

Bank Statements - Can I send these with forms above (134, 864).

401 K (using as assets) - I just got the June statement in, is this what I use for proof or do I need to call Prudential and have them type a letter regarding the account?

Now I have two cars paid off, I have also heard that you can use one of them as an asset as well, if so, do I use the Kelley Blue Book to find the value of the car with the highest value and add this on the I-864 somewhere. That is the only proof I can think of is the Kelley Blue Book (where u find the value of car).

I cannot think of anything else right now, my mind is blank just trying to get all this stuff in order. Thanks for any help and knowledge that can be offered at this time.

I-864 is not used for a K-1

moving to consulate forum as a consulate specific answer is needed

Hello actually in Morocco it is being used now and has been requested from all petitioner's. Many MENA members have had to do this just in the past month for the interview.

I only sent my fiance the I-864, Casa does not want the I-134 any longer. I did not send bank statements because my income was above the levels needed. But I did include tax transcripts for the past three years. You can get those free by calling the IRS. You will need to sign and date the form and mail it to your fiance. I had to use global express mail and it cost a fortune, but luckily it got there on time. I don't trust their regular mail at all!

Good Luck!

Oh thanks for the info. I will not have any tax transcripts and will have to send a letter stating why. Which was because I didn't have to work for 11 years while I was married and was a stay home mom. This is why I have to use my child support as income as well as my bank savings and the money that I was awarded on behalf of my ex-husband's 401K plan. I have been told by some senior members her, that I could use my 401K assets alone and no other information would be needed since the Dollar Amount is by far over the poverty level. I just want to make sure I am doing things right and get no RFE's. Going to school and studying and graduating in August is just overwhelming right now, and on top of things, I have been sitting here for 3 hours printing off all important things that were not sent in the I-129 packet in April. (plane tickets from May, cell phone calls, skype calls, chats, etc).... Gosh this is so time consuming but I am getting there with all of the help from VJ members.

Thanks for your help and I thought for sure that the I-864 was used now.

Hello :) ok so jackie is correct in casablanca they are not asking for the I-134 it is not acceptable anymore now they are only accepting the I-864. If you want the consulate to take in consideration what you have in the bank than you can send bank statements it depends what you put on your I-864 if you put money in the bank then you would need to show proof of that and same things go for property thats why on my I-864 I just put 0 for all of those because then you must show proof so its really up to you if you want them to take it in consideration and its soooooo true do not send your important papers by regular mail we have lost so many things along the way ive used express mail for all of our important information and so far its ok I mean the moroccan post is just a mess but when i send him things express he tends to get everything.

Oh thanks., when you use express mail is that DHL, or just regular express mail. He could not sign for it because he is not there during the day hours. Can you tell me what express you used and if they need to sign for it plz.

Thank you.

I personally used regular express mail because if you use fedex, dhl, or any of those carriers it will cost you an arm and a leg I went to both of those to get a price and it was $140 for just a few papers. They are suppose to sign for the mail but being morocco lol their mail service sucks so they dont even ask them to sign for it at least my fiance didnt have to sign for any of the things ive sent to him with express and with the express you can even track it online and see where its at :)
