Karen, Considering Casa sent an E-mail---couldn't it be possible to ask them for an official letter from them to show the Canadian Embassy that the US Embassy is asking for it? It seems like they want an official request and not an electronic request.

Just my 2cents worth of thoughts on this. In case you haven't thought about it already, if so I'm sorry.

You do not declare where you would have liked to have gone, only where you did go. And a police report is not required for visits, only of you lived there, I forget the duration, a year?

You declare all the countries you have visited if memory serves me right in the last 10 years.

Either they have his information confused with someone else, or he told them he went to Canada.

Either way the solution is not a RCMP report.

Is there a Canadian Embassy close to your home that you can physically go to instead of calling? Maybe they can just give you a letter saying that he never went there.

Karen,

Sorry to hear you are still dealing with this. Keep in mind that if you go through DCF, this Canadian police report thing will still be a problem and you will be starting with an entirely new petition.

Have you yourself spoken directly with anyone at the consulate in Casa? I know a few women here have called and spoken directly to the head of the consulate when they had problems with their cases.

Why does the US Consulate think he went to Canada.

What were they told that made them come to that conclusion.

The beneficiary attempted to get a visa to go to Canada (i'm not sure what type it was) and he was denied for that visa, thus he never went to Canada, but Casa wants a police report from Canada.

Karen, my prayers are with you always. You've become so strong and you both will see this through. Can you call the Canadian Embassy and forward them the email and ask for their assistance. Let them see he will not receive his visa without a letter from him. I'm sure you have tried everything and maybe you'll find that one person who will listen and help.
