Dear Friends at Visa Journey,

My NOA2 was issued on 5/20/2011 (from the California Service Center) and they indicated it was forwarded to the NVC on the same day. From what I can see from other people the average time it takes to reach the NVC is 5 to 10 days. I called the USCIS today and they said it can take up to 90 days. I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced a waiting time this long. I posted this issue as a side note on another thread but I wanted to list it here as well in case anyone has any additional information or advice. I've also seen cases where people needed to resubmit their case to the NVC. We're worried at this point about why it's taking so long.

Thank you,

Keith and Marivic

02/08/2011 : Sent the I-129F to the Texas Service Center.

02/13/2011 : Received email confirmation that the I-129F was received and transferred to the California Service Center.

02/21/2011 : NOA1 issued.

05/20/2011 : NOA2 issued.
