Pending AOS

I have my Aos interview in June, and didn't got any decesion due to missing immigration file, then we contacted our senator, our senator office call up our local office and the local stated that they have all my file now and my case is in “awaiting decision” drawer and this office is exteremly behind, what do u mean by it, do some one clearfy....do any one have any ideas how long it takes to decide such case.

Hey! So you already had your interview right?? If you already had the interview and they saw all your evidence then all they need to do is make the final decision. I am guessing since they didn't have your file right in front of them during the interview it may take a little bit of time for them to make this decision, just to put the two together. I would give it a few weeks since the day your senator confirmed it being at the office and maybe make an infopass appointment! I hope you hear something soon!

This is standard wording. For us - he told us he will make his decision on receipt of the biometrics (we got it done the same day- they were sceduled for 2 weeks later!) So, I think, once all the info is in the file, he/she can make the decision - normally its all pretty straight forward depending on the evidence you provided. Good Luck
